1937-38 The Oshawa Generals play their first season
April 17, 1939 The Generals win their first Memorial Cup, defeating the Edmonton Roamers at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto
April 22, 1940 The Generals win their second Memorial Cup, defeating the Kenora Thistles in Winnipeg
April 1944 Oshawa becomes the first team to win three Memorial Cups, after defeating the British Columbia Trail Smoke Eaters at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto
September 15, 1953 Hambly's Arena burns to the ground, leaving the Oshawa Generals without a home
1962-63 The Generals resume play, playing out of Bowmanville. They sign 14 year old Bobby Orr.
December 15, 1964 The Generals play their first game at the newly built Civic Auditorium
May 13, 1990 The Generals win their fourth Memorial Cup, defeating the Kitchener Rangers in double overtime at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton
October 29, 2006 The Generals play their last game at the Civic Auditorium
November 3, 2006 The Generals play their first game at the General Motors Centre
November 12, 2006 Albert "Red" Tilson becomes the first player in Generals' history to have his number retired
