Tyler Biggs Wins Gold with Team USA

Tyler Biggs, along with the rest of Team USA is celebrating the country’s third gold medal at IIHF World Junior Championships.  The United States National Junior Team defeated Sweden 3-1 in Ufa, Russia in the gold medal game.  Tyler had one assist and was a +3 at the tournament.

Boone Jenner and Team Canada finished fourth in the tournament.  They went undefeated in the preliminary round but fell 5-6 in overtime to Russia in the bronze medal game.  

Sebastian Uvira and Team Germany were sent to the relegation round but avoided relegation to Division I A and will remain in the championship in 2014.  Sebastian had a goal and an assist in six games played.

The Generals are back on home ice on Friday, January 11th, 2013, taking on the Peterborough Petes at 7:35 PM at the General Motors Centre.
