The Generals have plenty of reason to celebrate this past weekend with the team sweeping all three of their games, but for three players, this weekend was a stepping stone in their young careers.
Michael Dal Colle, Oshawa’s first selection of the 2012 OHL Priority Selection (7th overall), scored his first OHL goal during the game against rival Peterborough Petes on September 28th. The Vaughan native scored at 3:55 in the third period, helping the Gens to a 5-1 victory.
The 28th was also a big game for Tyler Biggs, scoring his first OHL goal at the 3:00 minute mark in the second period. Biggs was drafted in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection in the second round (39th overall) out of Loveland, Ohio.
Barrie native Bradley Latour, Oshawa’s fourth round selection in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection (61st overall), was not to be outdone scoring his first OHL goal on September 30th, capping the Gens four goal third period in Oshawa’s 7-4 win over the Brampton Battalion.
The players will try and add to their goal totals against the Kingston Frontenacs, this Friday at the General Motors Centre.
