Lessio Scores for Canada

Lucas Lessio scored Canada’s first goal of the game Tuesday, August 14th, 2012, in game 4 of the Canada-Russia Challenge.  The goal tied the game 1-1 in what would be a 4-2 victory for Canada.

With the regulation win, Canada tied the series 2-2 with Russia and forced a 20 minute sudden death overtime to decide the series, where Ryan Strome scored for Canada.  

Lucas Lessio and Boone Jenner represented the Oshawa Generals on Team Canada throughout the challenge, which serves as a replacement for Canada’s National Junior Team summer development camp for this season.
