Del Zotto to Drop Puck on Sunday

Generals’ alumni defenseman Michael Del Zotto will be returning to the General Motors Centre to drop the puck on Sunday, October 14th as the Generals take on the London Knights.

Michael Del Zotto was drafted 2nd overall by the Generals in the 2006 OHL Priority Selection. He played 3 seasons for the Generals, recording 153 points in 162 games with the club before getting traded to the Knights midway through the 2008-2009 season. While with the Generals, he was the first 16 year old defenseman to be chosen to the OHL All-Star Classic. Later in his junior career, he was selected to play in the CHL Top Prospects Game. Michael has also represented Canada internationally as he played for Team Ontario at the 2007 Canada Winter Games in which he scored the goal that game his team the gold medal. After his junior career, he was selected 20th overall by the New York Rangers during the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
